What is the ideal keg pressure?
With regards to keg pressure, based on my research, there isn't an ideal pressure, but it is best to understand that the purpose of the pressurized gas is to help push the beer through the line and not to shoot it out.
Start at 6 PSI and adjust slowly up from there. Most people find that they are fine around 8 PSI, with 10 PSI to 11 PSI being a bit on the high side, although it might enhance the head of the beer. Heavy products, like Guinness, may require 28-30 PSI to flow properly with the right head.↑ Back to Top ↑
